Meet your most-worn autumn accessory! Add a pop of color & a western-chic twist to any basic outfit with this reversible bandana. Wear it tied at the back of your neck for a classic bandana shape, or knot it in the front to make a chic tie.

materials

3.75mm hook

1.5 skeins 50g/110m yarn (size 4)

gauge

16 stitches x 16 rows = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm Use a 3.75mm hook & single crochet stitch

construction

This pattern begins with working stitches into a magic circle, then turning to work rows back and forth. Once a triangle shape has formed, you will continue working rows on each end to extend the triangle into long ties. Once you fasten off, you will need to block the piece to ensure all sides are straight.

Row 1 - In a magic circle, ch3, 2 sc, ch2 (this is the corner space), 2sc, hdc, turn

Row 2 - Ch2, 2 sc, (sc, ch2, sc) in corner space, 2 sc, 2 hdc in last st, turn

Rows 3-30 - Rep between ** for each row: *Ch2, sc in each st up to corner space, (sc, ch2, sc) in corner space, sc in each st up to last st, 2 hdc in last st, turn*

Row 31 - Ch1, 20 sc, turn

Row 32 - 18 sc, 2 hdc in last st, turn

Row 33 - Ch1, 18 sc, turn

Row 34 - 16 sc, 2 hdc in last st, turn

Row 35 - Ch1, 16 sc, turn

Row 36 - 14 sc, 2 hdc in last st, turn

Row 37 - Ch1, 14 sc, turn

Row 38 - 12sc, 2 hdc in last st, turn

Create the trim: sc around the entire bandana

Block bandana to ensure that each edge is completely straight
